Mnet’s on-location concert in Japan, “One Asia Tour 2012: M Countdown Hello Japan,” went down without a hitch on Wednesday at the Saitama Super Arena in Tokyo. Sixteen of the hottest acts in K-pop and J-pop wowed fans at M Countdown’s third concert in Japan since 2006.
The hosts of the night were Miss A’s Suzy and MBlaq’s Lee Joon, while groups like Cho Shin Sung, FT Island, MBlaq, U-Kiss, Busker Busker, Secret, Miss A, 4Minute, Sistar, A Pink, Yoon Mirae and E-Girls performed.
A special showcase entitled “Hallyu History” followed the performances, in which idol groups sang the golden oldies of K-pop.
Sistar’s Hyorin sang BoA’s “Listen to My Heart,” while John Park took to the stage to sing Shin Seung-hun’s hit song “I Believe.”
When the new boy band Cho Shin Sung sang Shinhwa’s “Perfect Man,” Lee Min-woo from Shinhwa appeared on stage, much to the surprise of both fans and the entertainers on stage.
