2PM ‘s Nichkhun recently wrapped up the VIP preview for his first Thai movie before returning to Korea.
‘Seven Something ‘ drew much attention early on, as Nichkhun was making his big-screen debut in Thailand. The movie is a project that commemorates the 7-year establishment of major Thai film company GTH, which is famous in Korea for films such as ‘Phobia2‘, ‘Hello Stranger‘, and ‘Bangkok Traffic Love Story‘.
The idea behind GTH’s 7th year anniversary project ‘Seven Something’ is that there is significant change in a person’s life every 7 years. Three different directors have worked together to create an ‘omniverse’ film about life and love.
Nichkhun, who plays the main character in the third story arc ’42.195′, displays abilities that one would not expect from a rookie actor. He plays an important role, helping main female lead ‘Sukwon’ find meaning and love in her life.
More than 200 reporters were present at Nichkhun’s independent press conference, and the singer was bombarded with questions and camera flashes. Furthermore, Nichkhun also attended a red carpet event where 300 reporters and 2,000 of his fans were present to enthusiastically show their support.
Additionally, the VIP preview was a large-scale event held with 1,000 attendees, not only including JYP Entertainment executives, but representatives from major media outlets and representatives from the local area who filled the seats. It was definitely an event where Nichkhun’s explosive fame in the area was obvious.
“I am so glad that I was able to attend the preview for the movie in which I will be making my big-screen debut. This feels really new and different,” Nichkhun said. “I very much enjoyed shooting this film, and I think I will be able to remember it for a long time. Thank you to everyone who has been waiting for this, as well as those who have helped make this possible.”
