Singer Kim Bum Soo has announced that he’ll be holding his concert tour, ‘2012 Kim Bum Soo Get Alright Show with Orchestra‘, at Carnegie Hall in New York.

Considered the concert venue of dreams, Kim Bum Soo’s tour will kick off at the hall on October 20th. It’s not an easy opportunity to come by, as aside from classical musicians, only top stars like the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, and Mariah Carey have been able to perform there.

Korean artists who have previously performed at Carnegie Hall include Jo Yong Pil (1981), Patty Kim (1989), Insooni (1999 and 2010), and Lee Sun Hee (2011), making Kim Bum Soo the fifth Korean artist to grace the stage.

Kim Bum Soo will be performing in the biggest main hall, the Stern Auditorium, which seats 2,400. Representatives stated, “In the midst of idol groups and K-pop earning attention worldwide, we are looking forward to one of Korea’s greatest vocalists, Kim Bum Soo, being recognized at Carnegie Hall and doing his part in the Hallyu wave. We will work to put on the best show possible.”

His tour will include four stops in North America, including the one in New York.
