Sung Shi Kyung defends BoA and her lip-synced stage performances

During a recent broadcast of MBC FM4UFM Music City – This is Sung Shi Kyung‘, solo singer Sung Shi Kyung said a few words in regards to BoA ‘s lip-syncing performances.


Before playing BoA’s “Only One” for his listeners, the singer remarked, “A lot of people seemed to have a lot of things to say about BoA lip syncing, but BoA is not a robot. In order to show the fans all of the choreography on stage, sometimes lip syncing may be necessary. Everyone knows that BoA is a good singer. They sure expect a lot.”


He then added, “Psy hyung’s song is doing so well… BoA needs to get a #1 win.”


BoA put on her first “Only One” stage on July 29th, but the entire performance had been lip synced. The singer was criticized when her comeback stage was lip synced as well, and in regards to this, BoA remarked, “There is no one that can pull off that dance while singing live. My performances will be centered around the choreography, and I will be promoting this album with lip sync stages.”
