It's official! PSY has gone global.
According to the Korean rapper's reps on September 4th, PSY has signed with Island Records, the same label as Justin Bieber and Jennifer Lopez. The agency will be responsible for PSY's activities worldwide, the only exception being Korea.
It was also announced that the singer will be attending one of the most recognized award shows in the US, the MTV Video Music Awards later this month. He will be leaving for the event on September 6th.
The singer was always popular in Korea, but was catapulted into a globally-recognized figure through his hit song "Gangnam Style" and its vibrant music video. The video is now the most viewed k-pop video on YouTube.
