With Kang Ho Dong confirmed to return to ‘Knee Drop Guru ‘ and ‘Star King ‘, many fans are anticipating the revitalized rivalry between him and Yoo Jae Suk . The two MCs are very close friends and had made their place as the two top ‘national MCs’. However, after Kang Ho Dong halted his activities, Yoo Jae Suk kept the ‘national MC’ title.

However, Yoo Jae Suk had been hit with his own problems after Kang Ho Dong’s hiatus. ‘Infinity Challenge ‘ was delayed for 24 weeks from February to July, only airing again months before Kang Ho Dong’s comeback. ‘Come to Play ‘ suffered even more, plummeting in viewer ratings to 3%. ‘Happy Together 3 ‘ also fell in ratings because viewers started to get bored of the public bath format. ‘Running Man ‘ had been Yoo Jae Suk’s only high note, but ‘1 Night 2 Days ‘ had recently taken back over its #1 Sunday night viewer rating spot.

With Kang Ho Dong’s return, Yoo Jae Suk’s programs are also stepping up their game. ‘Infinity Challenge’ has returned back to its explosive popularity. ‘Come to Play’ and ‘Happy Together 3′ have also gone through a redesign in format, earning praise from many viewers.

An insider in broadcast stated, “Ironically, even though Yoo Jae Suk and Kang Ho Dong have always been rivals, when Kang Ho Dong left, Yoo Jae Suk seemed to lose strength. However, once Kang Ho Dong’s comeback was confirmed, Yoo Jae Suk revitalized.

Kang Ho Dong and Yoo Jae Suk will once again be going head to head. ‘Knee Drop Guru’ will air at the same time as ‘Happy Together 3′, while ‘Star King’ airs with ‘Infinity Challenge’.
