The lovely ladies of Girls’ Generation celebrated their comeback with a special show on MBC. On January 1, MBC aired its New Year special, “Girls’ Generation’s Romantic Fantasy,” and despite the tremendous interest in the girls’ return, their show saw low ratings. According to AGB Nielsen, “Girls’ Generation’s Romantic Fantasy” recorded 3.8%, falling behind popular shows like KBS’s “Kim Seung Woo’s Seung Seung Jang Goo [aka Win Win] and SBS’s “Thank You.”
In the special program, the girls performed a total of sixteen songs, including tracks from their newest album “I Got a Boy.” Their SM Entertainment labelmates joined them on stage for some of the performances. The program also showed the girls spending time with 400 hundred fans for a special fan meeting.
