Uh oh. Looks like there’s more lawsuit troubles for our former idols. Original idol and singer Jang Woo Hyuk is currently being sued over a lease deposit for his building.
On February 27 Education Consulting Firm “A” has filed a lawsuit against Jang Woo Hyuk, demanding their 200 million won (about 184 thousand USD) back. In 2008 Company A signed a five year lease contract for four floors of a building in Sinsa-dong, Seoul that belongs to Jang Woo Hyuk. As of February 1, the lease period had expired and Company A claimed that they have not received their deposit back.
A representative of Jang Woo Hyuk’s agency said in a statement to Sports Seoul, “There is a lot of damage on the floor and other areas from the second to the fifth floor. At the end of their period the leasers should have restored all the damage but they claimed that it all happened naturally. Company A has made some repairs but it will cost us a great deal of money to repair the rest of the damage.”
The rep continued, “We wanted to discuss this privately and the other party has made it uncomfortable by pursuing this legally…We will continue to try to work this privately but if it comes to it, we will also take legal matters.”
