Big Bang proved that they're still hit-makers domestically with their

latest album <Alive>, and apparently this has proven overseas as well.

<Alive> sold over 250,000 copies in Korea, while it's already at

double platinum status in Taiwan. Over in Japan, <Alive> has been

certified as a Gold record by the Recording Industry Association of

Japan (RIAJ).

To go gold, an artist needs to sell over 100,000 copies. Platinum

requires a salve of 250,000 copies or more, double platinum is 500,000

copies, and million is 1 million copies.

The group has already wrapped up their promotions in Korea, and are

focusing on their World Tour which includes 13 shows in Japan for an

expected 150,000 Japanese fans.
