As we reported yesterday, 2NE1 Minzy’s great-aunt Gong Ok Jin passed away. She was a legendary traditional dancer who passed away due to chronic illness on July 9.
Because of this, 2NE1 has decided to cancel their comeback performance for Mnet’s “M Countdown” which will broadcast on July 12.
The funeral will last for 4 days. On July 12, they will hold the “send off ceremony of the dead.”
A representative of YG Entertainment stated on July 10, “Minzy wanted to be there in person for the funeral proceedings. The broadcasting company understands the situation, and that is why we have decided to cancel the performance for ‘M Countdown.’”
Also, for the “me2day Star Chat” event that will be held tomorrow on July 11, all the members except Minzy will make an appearance.
