Koyote‘s Baekga has become the first Korean endorsement model for Leica Camera.
On September 1st, Koyote’s agency revealed that the Baekga will be be promoting as a Leica artist for the Asia region. It seems the work of Baegka, who also worked as a photographer in addition to being the rapper for Koyote, have been recognized by Leica Camera.
An agency representative stated, “This project was decided on by the Leica headquarters in Germany after examining Baekga’s various projects and profiles and his individuality as an artist… He was also invited to the Leica launching event in Berlin back on May 19th.”
Leica has presented a video containing the story of Baegka’s life as well as featuring his works and Baekga himself has been said to have submitted 60 pictures for Leica that he has taken himself. Seven of those were selected and presented at the headquarters along with an interview with Baekga.
Baekga’s video, projects, and his interview have been revealed through Leica’s homepage, blog, facebook, and twitter on August 30th.
