Following the end of the group's Japanese tour, U-KISS member AJ will be temporarily putting a halt to his entertainment activities.

According to nh Media on August 1st, AJ has decided to temporarily drop out of the group to pursue his education at prestigious Columbia University in the United States.

AJ announced his plans on July 29th at the last U-KISS tour stop in Japan, Tokyo's NHK Hall.

The young member said, "I feel incredibly sorry to my fans for leaving my spot empty during such an important time [for the group]. I hope to return next year as a more mature AJ."

nh Media clarified, "This does not mean that AJ is dropping out of the group for good. He will be admitted [to Columbia] this year and return to his entertainment activities as a member of U-Kiss next year."

U-Kiss attracted a total of about 80,000 Japanese fans during their one-month long tour there. They will also be one of the few groups to perform at the largest music festival in Japan this month, with the likes of TVXQ and Hamasaki Ayumi.
