After 49 days since it’s release, PSY ‘s “Gangnam Style” has become the highest viewed K-pop music video on YouTube.
Girls’ Generation ‘s “Gee“, released back on June 8, 2009 held the crown for quite some time with the highest views for a K-pop music video. However, with the viral power of “Gangnam Style”, PSY has surpassed it and became the first K-pop artist to surpass the 85 million view mark.
Over the past week, PSY’s “Gangnam Style” has been averaging nearly 5 million views a day and it seems it won’t be slowing down any time soon.
