On the afternoon of October 8th, 8Eight ‘s Lee Hyun enlisted in the military through the Nonsan training center where he will begin his five weeks of basic training before starting his 21 months of service as an active duty soldier.

Ahead of his enlistment, Lee Hyun expressed his thoughts with reporters by stating, “I really could only sleep for about a minute. I’m worried about whether I’ll be able to stand it if we start rolling exercises the minute I walk in. Honestly speaking, I don’t know what I’m feeling right now. July 7th (2014) is the date of my discharge, so I have nothing more to say other than that I’ll serve hard.”

He continued, “I’m actually confident about my physical state. I think I’ll show similar to my work with ‘Dream Team ‘.”

On appearing with an eye catching checkered jacket and sunglasses, he commented, “I hope people don’t misunderstand me because I’m dressed so brightly. My heart is actually heavier than I look.”

Lee Hyun has left special pre-recorded tracks to console the hearts of 8Eight fans during his absence, all of which will be released periodically throughout his hiatus.

Fellow members and best friend K. Will saw Lee Hyun off in person.
