It's been some time now since Korean artists have been taking their crack at the Japanese music market. KARA is one of the most successful acts there, but now they have another title to add to their list. The group has officially become the top foreign artist in Japan in terms of DVD sales.
Girls Generation had been the previous titleholders, but KARA recently overtook their fellow Korean rivals with their latest "KARA 1st Japan Tour 2012 KARASIA" DVD, selling 30,000 copies in the first week. This put them at the top of the Oricon Weekly DVD Chart.
The group had ranked at #! on the Oricon Weekly DVD Charts before with previous DVDs "KARA Best Clips" and "KARA Best Clips 2 & Shows".
The Blue-ray version of the same concert sold 14,000 copies in the first week, putting the girls at #2 on the Blu-Ray Weekly Charts. Their album "Girls Forever" also fared well, coming in at #2 on the Album Weekly Charts.
