Big Bang had their first-ever Tokyo Dome concert on December 5. More than 55,000 fans came to the famed stadium to see their favorite band, who earned the honor of performing at Japan’s most prestigious concert hall in just three and a half years since their debut in the country.
Big Bang performed a total of 24 tracks, including “Tonight,” “Hands Up,” and “Fantastic Baby,” for the concert that lasted nearly four hours. Seungri said at one point, “Just three years ago, we had a concert at Tokyo’s JCB Hall in front of 2,000 people. Now we’re having our concert at Tokyo Dome. Our dream has come true. It’ a historical day for Big Bang and all of our fans.”
Big Bang also revealed during the concert that Daesung would be releasing his first Japanese solo album and host a solo concert next year, while Seungri’s birthday party was also held briefly.
The Tokyo Dome concert was held as part of the “Big Bang Alive Tour 2012 in Japan Final in Dome.” It was organized after Japanese fans demanded more Big Bang concerts, following their successful “Big Bang Alive Galaxy Tour 2012” in May. Big Bang’s world tour concert will come to an end in January in Seoul.
