Looks like the countdown this New Year’s Eve just got more meaningful. It’s been previously revealed that Girls’ Generation will be back on January 1 with their 4th full album and have released a remake of Duffy’s “Mercy,” which is newly titled as “Dancing Queen.”
On December 21, SM Entertainment also released couple teaser images of Hyoyeon. Her multi-color hair easily transforms the gal into a spunky girl. While the first photo is more rough and a bit edgy, the second photo shows a brighter glam side of the star.
An official from SM Entertainment has shared about their remake song, “‘Dancing Queen’ is a time machine concept that shows Girls’ Generation’s past and present while it also shows them taking a new challenge and even their future. It is colorful music and very special.”
