PSY’s “Gangnam Style” has been arranged in an opera number.

The Los Angeles Times reported on December 24 an article titled “‘Gangnam Style’ by PSY gets opera style treatment.”

This article reports that a “Gangnam Style” opera mix has been made and aired on the “Radio-Television Of Slovenia.” The article commented, “A classical orchestra consisting of strings, woodwinds and percussion performs the pop score in a humorously lush manner.” It also went on to say that an opera remix was inevitable as “Gangnam Style” has been remade into many different genres of music.

In the video clip that shows this performance, the artist sings the song in full Korean and even dances PSY’s signature horse-riding dance. The grand orchestral sounds as well as the artist’s gestures and serious facial expressions gave a good laugh to many.

On December 19, Billboard named PSY’s “Gangnam Style” as the best MV of 2012. On December 24, CNN named PSY as the 8th “Most Intriguing People of 2012.”
