G.I. Joe: Retaliation which stars Lee Byung Hun, Bruce Willis, and Dwayne Johnson is sadly, being delayed. Originally it was supposed to be released in June worldwide. However the film is now be pushed back to March 2013. The reason? 3D conversion.

On March 23 it was revealed that, Paramount Pictures which is the distributor, decided to push back the film for 3D conversion. The film will be released on March 29, 2013. The reason for this is that Paramount Pictures believes that the 3D film will be more popular.

The news is surprising because the film was about to hit theaters in five weeks. Paramount Pictures spent millions on marketing. Many trailers, posters, press conferences, and even a Super Bowl commercial were made trumpeting the June 29 release.
