SBS makes an announcement regarding the conflict facing the schedule of their popular drama series due to the broadcast of the London 2012 Olympics.

Previously, the network made a decision to temporarily postpone the broadcast of their Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday night dramas during the primetime 10:00pm time slot for the London Olympics. It appears the despite pulling in high-ratings the drama, “A Gentleman’s Dignity” might be next to go on a brief hiatus.

SBS’s drama representative announced on July 17 that, “Due to SBS airing the London 2012 Olympics, beginning on July 27, it is being discussed whether the drama ‘A Gentleman’s Dignity’ should possibly be postponed during this time.”

The official continued, “Currently, the schedule for the subsequent episodes of the drama is not definitive. But if the show’s suspension goes forward, it is likely that the episodes 17 and 18 will air normally and that the following two episodes will not be broadcast until the second week of August. The thinking is that by then everyone’s attention will be high once the Olympics have concluded.”

The Olympics are scheduled to air from July 27 to August 12. Additionally, SBS has made arrangements to air a special episode of “The Chaser” prior to the start of the Olympics on July 24. A similar move was made to begin their new drama “Faith” (starring Lee Min Ho and Kim Hee Sun) on August 13 after the games conclusion.
