The appointment ceremony honoring the official ambassadors for the DMZ International Documentary Film Festival was held on August 20th.
There, idol group 2AM was chosen.
The four members of the ballad group have been active participating in a number of movie and drama roles since their debut. In fact, Seulong was appointed as the honorary ambassador for another film festival in the past: the 13th Junju International Film Festival.
The DMZ International Documentary Film Festival officials explained their choice, noting 2AM's healthy and friendly image that will hopefully help shed the heavy atmosphere that the DMZ often carries.
The officials elaborated further, saying that they seek to bring the festival closer to the public in a more open and communicable way.
The official ambassador inauguration ceremony press conference will be held at the end of the month. The festival will start its run from September 21-27th, featuring 110 different films from 30 different countries.
