CN Blue has taken over Japan’s Oricon charts! A day after releasing their first full length Japanese album, “CODE NAME BLUE,” it has gone on to top the Oricon chart.

The album sold almost 22,000 copies on the day of its release, besting popular Japanese rock acts, Tokyo Jihen, The Gazette and Dragon Ash. They also placed ahead of the popular idol group, AKB48, who is also the biggest idol group in Japan. The group is also the only foreign band to enter the top ten chart which is garnering them a lot of attention and praise.

“CODE NAME BLUE” was released last August 29 in Japan. The boys will be staying in Japan to focus on preparing for their upcoming arena tour this October where they will be traveling across six cities across the country.
