Last year, Asia Bridge Contents filed a lawsuit against JYJ ‘s agency C-JeS Entertainment demanding a refund of 1 billion won ($921,192) in production costs. However, on November 23rd, the Seoul Central District Court ruled in favor of C-JeS Entertainment.
The company had signed an album production contract with a composer identified as ‘K‘ and paid the sum as an advance in April of 2010. ‘K’ had been under contract for the production of JYJ’s ‘The Beginning ‘ album.
Last year, however, the company filed a lawsuit against C-JeS Entertainment demanding their refund of the advance.
The court has finally made their decision today and found that C-JeS Entertainment was not liable, reasoning, “This is a matter between Asia Bridge Contents and ‘K’, and does not involve C-JeS Entertainment in any way. C-JeS Entertainment is not obligated to refund the sum being demanded of them.”
