Singer and producer, Park Jin Young discussed about his thoughts on the occupation of a singer.

On August 29, Park Jin Young wrote on his twitter, “It’s really sad and I shed tears when athletes have to retire, but I also thank the heavens. As for us singers, if we work really hard, we can continue to work in our field until we’re old. Let’s be thankful and work really hard with sincerity. It would be great if we can sing until the very end for our fans…”

He followed up the post in English, “Every time I watch a athlete retire I thank God for giving me a job that I can do til I die. Hope all our singers can sing til they die…”

This isn’t the first time that Park Jin Young has compared the life of an athlete with a singer. He previously made a post on his twitter, “I learned about sincerity after I watched the athletes compete in the Olympics. They would sweat every day because of the intensity of their training. Just like them, we should work on our vocals, stretch, weight train, practice singing and dancing every day. Then it will be possible.” He continued, “I really hate singers who just perform relying on their talents and charisma.”

He also added in English, “Don’t wanna be a entertainer who relies on given talent but who trains himself musically every day like the athletes in the Olympic games.”

Netizens who came across his post commented, “It’s really cool to see that he’s striving to work hard,” “This is how he became the best,” “It’s amazing that Park Jin Young is still able to perform as a dancer“ drawing much praise.

Park Jin Young participated in the “JYP Nation” Concert held in Seoul on August 18 and Japan on August 19.
